Given : One equation of a pair of dependent linear equations is

2x + 5y = 3.

To Find :  second equation can will be:

(a) 2x + 5y = 6

(b) 3x + 5y = 3

(c) -10x – 25y + 15 = 0

(d) 10x + 25y = 15

Solution:

a pair of dependent linear equations is having two equations of lines representing the same line

Hence having Infinite solutions

a pair of dependent linear equations can be  written as

Ax  + By = C

KAx + KBy  = KC

where K is non zero real number

2x + 5y = 3

Multiplying by 5 on both sides

10x + 25y  = 15

Hence option d) is correct

Multiplying by - 1 both sides

=> -10x - 25y = - 15

Transposing -15 on LHS

=> -10x - 25y + 15 = 0

Hence option c) is also correct

options c and d are correct
