Once 3 men went to a hotel they ordered food and after sometime the waiter came and said that the bill was 30 rupees.so the three divided equally and each member paid 10 rupees.when they are about to leave the waiter came and told that sorry sir the bill is not 30 it is 25 rupees.he gave back 5 rupees . Now they(each) took one, Rupee now two rupees are left . Starting everyone paid ten rupees after they got one rupee back meanstheypaid nine rupees means
9 multipled by 3 = 27 two rupees left 27+2=29 starting they paid 30 rupees

Hey mate here is your answer......

This is just a way of putting forward the statement so as to cause confusion, whereas it is actually a very simple situation.

.Total bill is Rs70. They pay 75. Rs70 goes for the bill payment. Rs 3 comes back to them. And Rs 2 goes to the waiter as the tip. 70+3+2=75

the confusion is being caused by mixing up things. If you say that the net payment of each person becomes Rs24 after getting 1 rupee back, then the total net payment should also be accounted as Rs72 only and not 75. Here is the catch. If each is paying Rs24, then total payment is only Rs72, out of which 70 goes towards bill ...
