Humans are attached to each other in a reason of trust to each other. An example of this is we don't easily believe unknown people. At the same time when someone speaks a lie, our trust breaks. And we all know that breaking trust is very easy on the contrary building trust is very hard. So when our trust breaks one's we don't trust that person easily next time. Maybe next time that particular person is speaking the truth thus once a liar always a liar.
