reached a lonely area. There he was stopped by a robber who asked him in a threatening voice to hand
over whatever money and valuables he had. The boy was frightened at first but soon he mustered up his
courage and began to run away. The robber, who was on horseback, galloped after him. The boy then
took some coins out of his pocket and scattered them on the ground. The robber got down from the horse
to pick up the coins. The smart boy took up this opportunity and sprang on the horseback. He rode the
horse as fast as he could and left the robber far away. There was a broad smile on the face of the boy. It
was not a bad bargain, he thought, to have horse for a few coins.
