once an atom lose/gain one or more electrons it becomes a ion. What happens after that ion lose or gain electrons once again? What will it become now?

Atoms that lose electrons acquire a positive charge as a result because they are left with fewer negatively charged electrons to balance the positive charges of the protons in the nucleus. Positively charged ions are called cations. Most metals become cations when they make ionic compounds.

Your question is subjective, it depends on which ion you are talking about.

The cations of transition metals exhibit multiple oxidation states, so, if their ions lose electrons then they will produce another ion that is more oxidized and is more oxidizing in nature than the previous ion.

For example, Fe2+ loses an electron to be oxidized to Fe3+.

If an ion such as Argentous ( Ag+ ) ion gains an electron then it is reduced to metallic silver, if it loses an electron it is oxidized to the

argentic ion(Ag2+) .

If a chloride anion loses an electron then it is converted to an atom of Chlorine.
