Once there lived a king by name Swarochi. He was a kind and brave king. His
wife Sarvari was a very pious woman. After many years they had a daughter. She grew
in the care of her mother and became intelligent and God-fearing young princess.

Rudhra and Simha were the kings of neighbouring kingdoms, Rudhra was very
strong but wicked. Simha was cruel and cunning. Each wanted to take the kingdom of
Swarochi.
As the king wanted to celebrate his daughter's marriage, he made all the
arrangements and invited the neighbouring kings to the marriage.
Simha met Rudhra and thought of a plan. King Simha said. “I present a chariot to
the king's daughter's marriage and ask the king Swarochi to use it for the marriage
procession. If he refuses, I will pick up a quarrel with the king Swarochi. The king
Rudhra said, "I will also do the same and pick up a quarrel with him".
Rudhra and Simha brought their chariots and presented them to Swarochi. And
each requested Swarochi to use his chariot for the marriage procession.
The marriage was celebrated in a grand manner. The marriage procession was
about to start. But Swarochi was sad. "Whose chariot am I to choose for the
procession?" he said to himself. He was in a dilemma. He closed his eyes and prayed to
God.
Just then two elderly people rushed to the king with a new chariot. They folded
their hands and requested the king, “Your majesty, this chariot is your people's
presentation. Please accept it and use it for the marriage procession. The king was
happy.
He got the couple to sit in that chariot. The procession went on.
Rudhra and Simha were sad and went away. The God solves the problems of His
devotees, since they believe His power.​
