One day the father called them and offered a bundle of sticks to each one of them. He ordered them to break the bundles into two halves. None of them could break the bundle. After that he directed them to open the bundle and take one stick and try to break them. All were successful in separating the stick.
Thus the father told them the significance of unity and the property was inherited by all three of them and they lived happily ever after
