Both plane have different velocity because they are traveling In different direction. A vector quantity can changed by change either its magnitude or direction. By change the direction of motion of plane, we have changed velocity vector. Hence they have different velocity

ANSWER

*One airplane travels due north at 300 km/h while another travels due south at 300 km/h.

*Their airspeeds are the same.

*Velocity is a vector representing speed and direction. Not the same.
