One angle is 3 times its complement. Find both the angles.

Let the angle be a

Complement angle = 90 - a

According to question

a = 3( 90-a)

=> a = 270 - 3a

=> 4a = 270

=> a = 67.5 °


Required angle = 67° 30'

let one angle be x and other be 3x
ATQ,

x+3x=90
4x=90
x=22.5

1st angle=22.5
2nd angle=3×22.5=67.5
