Answer:

Question:-

One angle of a triangle is 65°. Find the other two angles if their difference is 20°.

Solution:-

1st angle = 65°

2nd angle = y°

3rd angle = (y+20)°

Sum of angles in triangle = 180°

⇒ 65 + y + (y+20) = 180

y + (y+20) = 180 - 65

2y + 20 = 115

2y = 115 - 20

2y = 95

y = 95/2

y = 47.5°

1st angle = 65°

2nd angle = y

= 47.5°

3rd angle = y + 20

= 47.5 + 20

= 67.5°

VERIFY:-

65 + 47.5 + 67.5 = 180

65 + 115 = 180

180 = 180

LHS = RHS

Hence, verified

Hope it helps
