The smallest angle is 26°

Given:

One angle of the triangle is 89°

[ In given question 890 might be wrong the corrected one is 89° ]

Other 2 angles are in 2 : 5 ratio

To find:

The smallest angle in degree

Solution:

Given that 89° is the one of the angle of triangle

Let 2x and 5x be the remaining [∵ both are in 2 : 5 Ratio]

As we know sum of the angle in triangle = 180°

⇒ 89° + 2x +5x = 180°

⇒  2x + 5x = 91°

⇒ 7x = 91°

⇒ x = 91°/7

⇒ x = 13°

Here, smallest angle is 2x

⇒ 2x = 2(13) = 26°

Therefore, The smallest angle is 26°
