one angle of a triangle is double the first. the third angle is 40° less than the first. find the three angles of the triangle

Answer:

let us a triangle ABC .

Let A = x (first angle)

And we have given ,

B = twice of first angle.

B = 2x. (second angle)

C = 40 less than the first angle.

C = x - 40. (third angle)

By using angle sum property we can find the three angles.

A + B + C = 180 .

x + 2x + x - 40 = 180.

4x - 40 = 180.

4x = 180+40.

x = 220/4.

x = 55.

So we have ..

A = 55.

B = 2*55 = 110.

C = 55–40 = 15.
