One brick is one kilogram and half a brick heavy.
What is the weight of one brick?

Let the weight of brick = x kg
Given that one brick is 1 kg and half a brick heavy. Thus

x=1+ \frac{x}{2} \\ \\ \Rightarrow x- \frac{x}{2} =1\\ \\ \Rightarrow \frac{x}{2}=1\\ \\ \Rightarrow x=2*1= \boxed{2\ kg}
