One car {A} does work in 10 seconds . Another car {B} does the same work in 5 seconds . Which car will consume more fuel in doing the same amount of work ?

Ashu31: Power = Energy/Time
Ashu31: Fuel = Energy
Ashu31: Power is inversely proportional to Time.
Ashu31: Srry
Ashu31: I will explain this to u tomorrow in the class..

car A
BECAUSE TIME CONSUMED IS MORE SO THERE WILL BE MORE FUEL CONSUMPTION

pahiroy1221: ya , i also think that only
pahiroy1221: no no let me think
danishjoshi111: According to me : Power is inversely proportional to time so the power of car B will be grater than  car B as time taken by car B is less
pahiroy1221: if time is more then power will be reduced and if power is reduced then energy is also reduced
danishjoshi111: Sorry  the power of car B will be grater than  car a
pahiroy1221: see the above line
TheRuhanikaDhawan: BUT THE WORK WILL BE DONE FASTER IN CAR B SO FUEL CONSUMED WILL BE LESS
danishjoshi111: This is the equation : Power = Work / Time ; This means more the time less will be power
pahiroy1221: and here fuel is energy
TheRuhanikaDhawan: ok sorry

the answer is (B) because power is inversely proportional to time so if time increases power will be reduced and if power reduces then energy would be increased so the option is (b)
