Answer:

Question :-

One card is drawn at a random from a pack of well shuffled 52 cards

1- write the number of sample ponits for this experiment

2- Event A :- probability of having a spade and heart cards

Required Answer :-

Experiment 1 :-

One card is drawn at random from a pack of well shuffled 52 cards.

sample points = n(s) = 52

Event A :-

Probability of having a spade and heart cards.

A = (13) spade cards + (13) heart cards

n(A) = 26

P(A) = n(A)/n(s) ---(Formula)

P(A) = 26/52

P(A) = 1/2

Therefore probability of having a spade and heart card is 1/2
