One day a fox was caught in a trap while travelling through the forest. It got scared and tried to release it. It pulled and pulled till it became free. However, in the process its beautiful tail was cut off.

The fox was very sad, and said, "How ugly I look! The other fox will laugh at me! Soon the clever fox thought of an idea. It called a meeting of the foxes. The fox said, " Friends! Why should we carry these long tails? Let us cut them off and be free of the extra weight".

The other foxes saw the fox without its tail and exclaimed, " Oh your tail got cut off and now you want us to look the same". They laughed aloud and said that they looked absolutely fine with the tails and not going to be persuaded by the tricks of the fox.
