One day dia saw sweeper burning two heaps of garbage: one of a waste paper and other discarded linen clothes she observed that both heaps produced similar odor on burning and turned into greyish ash why?

The reason for the similar smell, odor and color is because both linen and paper are natural fibres. Paper comes from trees while linen from flax plant.
