Honesty is the best policy. That's what I learnt from the recent incident at the school exhibition.

I was allowed to be in charge of the recent exhibition held in our school premises. All my friends appeared and got different books from the exhibition. However, I saw my best friend stealing an expensive book from the exhibition.

I couldn't control myself and warned her but she requested me to let her go. Next, I went up to the head teacher and explained everything. I also asked her not to mention my name and informed about the exact location where she had hidden the book.

The teacher caught her after sometime but to my surprise, she blamed me in the act. However, I felt relaxed as the teacher took my side and punished her for the crime. Definitely, being honest can be really beneficial at times.

On Monday Morning I realised that Honesty is the best policy . l realised it because I saw an incident on the road. When I was on my way to the school, I saw a group of people gathered on the mid of the street. People were watching a duel going-on on the road

I went and peeped in, two ladies were caught by a gang of police .Both of them were arguing that the mistake wasn't commited by them. I was confused and asked about the matter with a guy standing beside. He explained to me that one of the lady had picked the pocket of the police. The police was confused with both the ladies about who had actually picked is pocket. He was enquiring both of them. One of the lady was very sure that she wasn't the culprit and that's why she was not arguing a lot . She was ready to give her belongings to the police for the investigation. But another lady was sweating a lot,but still she was strongly arguing about the matter. I got a doubt on the second lady and though that she was the real culprit. Finally when they checked the CC TV camera of that locality put up on the tower nearby,they got to know that second lady who was the arguing and sweating lot was the culprit .I got to know that my thinking was right and realised that HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY
