We are provided with the start of the story that we are asked to complete. The story whose starting is provided to us will be completed as under:
One day my father gave me some money to deposit in the neighborhood bank. This was the first time I was going to the bank alone and I was terrified. I pleaded for my father also to come along but he refused as he wanted to make me independent.
I left the house clutching the bag tightly that contained the money and walked to the bank. After reaching the bank I tried to look around if there was anyone who could help me. There was a counter on which the word information was required.
I went up to the counter and asked them to help me as this was the first time I was depositing money alone. They were very helpful and showed me a counter where some forms were kept and asked me to fill out one of them. They even advised me that if I had any problem I was supposed to ask them.
The form was called the pay-in-slip and it was very easy to fill. After filling I went to confirm if I have filled it correctly. Then they told me to take a ticket and wait for the number to be called out. After doing this I went and sat down on one of the chairs present there.
The bank official called my number and I approached the counter. They checked the information stamped the pay-in-slip and gave me a part of the slip. They told me to keep the part of the slip as proof of the transaction. I asked them whether the work was done to which they replied yes, I could go.
I was super thrilled that I had this wonderful experience and to my father who knew that I would be able to do this on my own and put confidence in it.
There are many tasks like this in life that we are scared to do for the first time. If we take the courage and do it we will see how easy the task really was.
