The area of the square-shaped park is 40000 m².

Given:

Rahul covered 800m distance along his square-shaped park, which refers to the perimeter.

To Find:

The area of the square park.

Solution:

Here, according to the question, Rahul covered 800m distance along his square-shaped park.

i.e,

The perimeter (p) of the square-shaped park is 800 m.

Again, we know that if a side of a square is A meter. then its perimeter is 4A meter.

With that knowledge, if the length of the side of the park is A meter,

then,

According to the problem,

4A = 800

or, A = 800/4

or, A = 200

Thus the length of the side of the square-shaped park is 200m.

Now to find the area, we know for a square, area = A×A

i.e,

Area = A×A

        = 200 × 200 m²

        = 40000 m²

Thus the area of the square-shaped park is 40000 m².
