One day reeta went to a jeweller's shop with her mother . her mother gave an old gold jewellery to the goldsmith to polish. next day when they brought the jewellery back, they found that their was a slight loss in its weight. can u suggest a reason for the lost in weight?

in polishing the substance to be polished is rubbed to remove the outer dull layer to bring out the shiny layer. that is why the loss of the outer layer caused to the loss of weight of the body
