One day the singer sang the Song of Fire,
The Deepak Râg , and burning like a pyre
His body burst into consuming flame.
To cure his burning heart a maiden came
And sang Malhar, the song of water cold,
Till health returned, and comfort as of old.

it said that due to the singing the song of fire the singer's body was embraced in flames and he would have died and to his rescue came a maiden who sang the song of water called malhar thus his flame was extinguised by the water created by malhar rag health was normal and was comfortable once
