one diagonal of a rhombus is greater than other by 4cm. if the area of the rhombus is 96cm².find the side of the rhombus

let, first diagonal equal to x and second diagonal equal to x + 4.

area of rhombus = { half of diagonal 1× diagonal 2}

no putting the value of D1 and D2 on the formula.

then we get equations

x2 + 4x-192 =0

then we solve this equation and find x =-16,12

so ,when we use positive number 12 because length is always positive.

hence, first diagonal is 12 and second diagonal is 16.
