one does not do it (Climb a high peak) for flame alone. what does one do it for really.

There is the feeling of satisfaction of this deep urge in completing difficult climbing. Climbing experience is physical, emotional and spiritual. It is an act of communion with God. The fame part automatically comes with passage of time. Once you enjoy doing something then only you attain perfection in doing it. It is your achievements which bring fame as a bonus.
