Here ink stands for the written word. We know a pen is mightier than a sword. A sword can show its power for a short time. But a drop of ink has its greater value. Just one word written in ink can make or mar the whole world.
A revolution starts in the mind of a thinker. His thought is put on paper through words. These words set millions of people to think. What Shakespeare, Kalidas, Valmiki, Vyas and Tulsidas wrote cannot be forgotten. The writings of Plato and Aristotle, Marx and Lenin have done more to change the course of human thought. Marx's Das Kapital and the Bhagwadgita have made people think and do a lot since they were written.

For example :- Our Great poets and writes. They physically may not exists in this world but their thoughts and soul are still there, they are introduced to every generation. Hence, many people come across it and make their particular opinions.
Ink represents what is written. Quotations are the best example they convey satisfactory meanings and even deepest meanings than any lengthy stories.
