TO FIND :- percentof the pack does each person get approxly.

SOLUTION :-

Half kg pack of ice-cream = 500g

Its 1/8 th has been eaten means 7/8th part is the remaining part of the icecream. [1 - 1/8 = 7/8]

REMAINING PART = 7/8 × 500

= 3500/8 g

Now it is equally divided among three people ;

3500/8 ÷ 3

= 3500/8 × 1/3

= 3500/24g

PERCENTAGE =

Icecream each person get / total amount × 100

= 3500/24 ÷ 500 × 100

= 3500/24 × 1/500 × 100

= 7/24 × 100

= 700/24

= 29.16%

HENCE EACH PERSON GET 29.16% of ICE-CREAM.
