Hey here is your answer :-

As Given that One electron is present in the outermost shell of an atom

We have to find that what would be the nature and value of charge on the ion formed ???

The valency of that atom should be + 1 because if he lose his 1 outermost electron it will be completely filled .

Let the atom is A.

valency = + 1

nature of ion formed = anion .
charge on atom in formed will be + 1 .
formula of ion formed will be A¹+.

Thanks
