One evening when we came home from school, Mother was acting very sta ahe idnt smile at us and hug us as she usually did. She just gave tis our tea and then went to her room and shuit the door Aty brother was so upset that he started crying. Mother doesn't love us any more', he sobbed. She is angry with us. What did we dot Shall we say sorry? I comforted him. 'No, baba', I said, 'Mother is sad about something. Her eyes were red. I think she has been crying. Let us give her some time to henelf without disturbing her. She will talk to us later' So that is what we did. We ate our snacks,cleared away the food, and went quietly our room to do our homework e time, Mother came into our room. She hugged us both. 'I have some sad news she told us. 'Mabel Aunty died suddenly this morning. I didn't know how to tell you both, because I know how much you loved her. We were sad, of course, but i was also happy that I had understood my mother's feelings.
