Generally, the air under high pressure shifts towards low pressure. There are different types of winds like trade winds, monsoon winds, polar easterlies, the westerlies, local winds and doldrums. Out of these, polar easterlies which move from east to west are irregular winds.

Answer:

In simple terms, high speed air is known as wind. In more appropriate definition, large masses of air moving from a region of high pressure, to a region of low pressure, is known as wind.

The earth has various types of winds, like the easterlies, westerlies, trade winds, monsoon winds, doldrums.

It is the polar easterlies which are known to be the example of irregular winds moving from east and west.
