let the number be x


=> x/5 - 5 = 13
=> x - 25/5 = 13
=> x - 25 = 65
=> x = 65 + 25
=> x = 90

-25=65 are not equal
ok this answer

prashant4216: x/5-5=13. x-25/5=13/1. cross multiply. x-25=65. x=65-25. x=40
