⇒ 3x - 8√x - 60 = 0 ....(i)
Putting √x = y in Eq (i), we get
⇒ 3y² - 8y - 60 = 0
⇒ 3y² - 18y + 10y - 60 = 0
⇒ 3y(y - 6) + 10(y - 6) = 0
⇒ (y - 6)(3y + 10) = 0
⇒ y = 6 or 3y + 10 = 0
⇒ y = 6, - 10/3 (Rejecting negative sign's one)
⇒ y = 6
⇒ √x = 6
Squaring both sides, we get
⇒ x = 36
Hence, total number of camels is 36.
