Let's set up an equation.

1/4x + 1/3x + 15 = x

Combine the like terms.

1/4x + 1/3x = 7/12

7/12x + 15 = x

Subtract x from both sides.

-5/12x + 15 = 0

Subtract 15 from both sides.

-5/12x = -15

Multiply.

-12/5 * -5/12 = 1x

-12/5 * -15 = 36

1x = 36

x= 36

Thus, the answer would be that there were 36 total deers
