Let number of camels be N.

     N/4 + 2 √N + 15 = N
     3 N - 8 √N - 60 = 0

            √N = [ 8 +- √(64+720) ] /6 = 6 or -20/6

       So N = 6² = 36

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total number of camels be n.

Number of camels in the forest =

Number of camels on the mountain =

Number of camels on the bank of the river = 15

Total number of camels =

Squaring on both sides, we get

∴ Number of camels in the herd is 36. (Number of camels cannot be in fraction)
