Let the no. be x

Writing the equation from the given statement

→ ¼ x = ⅔ x - 10

→ ⅔ x - ¼ x = 10

→ 8 - 3/12 x = 10

→ 5/12 x = 10

→ x = 12(10)/5

→ x = 120/5

→ x = 24

Hence , the required number is 24
