Let the number = x.

(x/4) = (2/3)x - 10 …(1)

LCM of 4 and 3 = 12, So (1) becomes

3x = 8x - 120

5x = 120, or

x = 24.

The number is 24.

Check: LHS = 24/6 = 6.

RHS = 16–10 = 6. Correct
