let the total number of Bird be = X

one fourth bird means = X/4

one fifth bird means = X/5

X/4 + X/5 = 9X/20

remaining bird = X - 9X/20

= 11X/20

11X/20 = 22birds

X = 22×20/11

X = 40(total birds)

and in their nest = one fifth means = X/5

= 40/5 = 8 Answer
