\bold\blue{Answer:-}

Let total number of birds = x

Birds at the river bank = \dfrac{x}{4}

Birds in their nest = \dfrac{x}{5}

Remaining birds wandering in search of food = 22

\therefore As per question,

x - ( \frac{x}{4}  +  \frac{x}{5} ) = 22

 \implies \: x -  (\frac{5x + 4x}{20} ) = 22

 \implies \: x -  \frac{9x}{20}  = 22

 \implies \:  \frac{20x - 9x}{20}  = 22

 \implies \: \frac{11x}{20}  = 22

 \implies x =  \frac{22 \times 20}{11}

x = 40

\therefore Number of birds in their Nest = \dfrac{x}{5} = \dfrac{40}{5} = 8
