x-100=2(y+100) let the amount of first friend is x and another be y.
x-100=2y+200
This is first equation

x+10=6(y-10)
x+10=6y-10
x-6y=-20
This is second equation
Now we eliminate the value of y by using elimination method.
(x-2y=300)*3
x-6y=-20
3x-6y=900
x-6y=-20

x=460 put the value of x in first equation
460 -2y=300
-2y=-160
y=80
Hence the respective total amount of two friends is rupees 460 and rupees 80
