Answer:

Given-

Volume of HCl = 100ml

Mass of CaCO_{3} + HCl is 0.1gm

Molar mass of CaCO_{3} is \frac{100g}{mol}

To find- percentage of CaCO_{3}

Explanation:

⨳ According to the question, when 1 mole of CaCO3 is reacts with 2 mole of HCl then the reaction is

CaCO_{3} + 2HClCaCl_{2} + CO_{2} + H_{2}O

⨳ Molarity of HCl is

MOLARITY = \frac{No. \ of \ moles }{Volume \  in \ L}

No \ of \ moles = 0.1 \times 0.1

So the molarity of HCl is 0.01 mol.

Now, Mass of CaCO_{3} is = \frac{No. \ of \ moles }{molar \ mass}

⨳ Mass of CaCO_{3} = No. \ of \ moles \times molar \ mass \ of \ CaCO_{3}

0.05 \times 100 = 0.5gm

⨳ So, the percentage of CaCO_{3} is 0.5 \times 100 = 50

The percentage of CaCO3 is 50% in the mixture.
