pjstyles: plz mark it as brainliest if satisfied.
Dakshansh: if half of the lens is covered with black paper then how can light ray pass through it ?
Dakshansh: i think a ray should be drawn above it...
pjstyles: black paper will not allow proper amount of light to pass for the formation of image because of which image has less brightness and intensity.

u = -30 cm   f = 10 cm
1/v = 1/f + 1/u = 1/10 - 1/30 = 1/15

v = 15 cm  Real inverted image is formed on the other side of the convex lens.

Due to blocking of the lens, half the number of rays that come from the object and go through the lens to form the image do not go to the other end. SO the image formed is only nearly half-as bright as compared to normal situation.
