The Indian rhino has a single horn, which is present in both sexes. It is the largest of all the Asian rhinos. The single horn rhinos belong to species of amphibians.
They are an excellent swimmer. It can run at speeds of up to 55km/hr for short periods of time. The average height is about 170cm and average weight is 1800 to 2800 kg.
It is mostly found in Indo- Nepal and Northern West Bengal, and Assam.
