One lamp is rated 40 W at 220 V and the other 60
W at 220 V. These two lamps are connected in
parallel to a 220 V supply. Calculate the current
drawn from the supply line by each lamp.​

P = V×I

40 = 220×I

40÷220 =I

I =0.18A

II nd bulb

P = 60 W

V = 220V

I = ?

P = V×I

60 = 220×I

60÷220 =I

I =0.27 A
