Let the sides of the triangle be x, y, h

Given: x = 10cm

           h = 26cm

By Pythagoras theorem,

(26)^2 = (10)^2 + y^2

676 = 100 + y^2

576 = y^2

24cm = y

Area of triangle = 0.5 x base x height

                          = 0.5 x 10 x 24

                          = 120 cm^2

Answer:

120cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

In a right triangle,

BC^2 + AB^2 = AC^2

since one side is 10cm and hypotenuse is 26cm...

Let's take bc as 10cm..and AC as 26cm..

10^2 + Ab^2 = 26^2

100+AB^2 = 676

AB^2 = 676-100 = 576

AB = √ 576

AB = 24cm

We know the area of right triangle..that is.

1/2*b*h

since base is 10cm and height is 24cm ...

So, it will be..

1/2*24*10

1*12*10

The answer is 120cm^2
