One litre of an ideal gas at atmospheric pressure and 27 °C is compressed
isothermally to 1/15th of its initial volume. Calculate the work done.​

Work done = nRT lnV2/V1

Let initial volume be V (V1)

therefore Final volume = V/15 (V2)

T= 300k

W = (1) × 8.314 × 300 × ln(1/15) = - 6.73KJ
