If one litre of water is evaporated from 6 litres of solution with 5% salt, what is the percentage of salt in the remaining solution? Assuming the given % is of gram by weight percentage, Initially, 100 ml of solution contains= 5gm of salt 6000ml of solution contains = 6000*5)/100 gm of salt=300gm of salt After evaporation 1000ml of solution contains =300gm salt i.e 100ml of solution contains =30gm of salt i.e the solution contains 30% salt after evaporation.
