One man can do a piece of work in 3 hours, another can do same piece of work in 2 hours. how long will they take if they work together

Answer 1

1) 1st man 1-hour work = 1/3

    2nd man 1-hour work = 1/2

     If they work together then it will be = 1/3 + 1/2

                                                                = 1/6.

So, both will finish work in 6 hrs.

(or)

The 1st man takes 3 hrs and 2 man takes 2 hrs.If they both work together then it will be 3 * 2 = 6 hrs.
