Step-by-step explanation:

height of the pole (x) = 15 m

Climbed distance per minute (y) = 4 m

Slips (y) = 2 m in next minute

So, In 2 min he climbs 2 m.

we take, 2 min = 1 unit of time

t = 2 minutes

You can calculate required time by this formula : (we are calculating it for 14 m)

Reqd. Time = [( ht. of pole - slipped distance) / (climbed distance - slipped distance )] *T

= [(x-z) / (y-z)] *t

= [(14-2) / (4-2)] &2

= (12/2) *2

= 6 *2

= 12 minutes

And the last 1 m monkey will climb in 45 second because one he get up did not get slipped down

So, total time = 12 minutes 45 seconds
