Given:

the number of red marbles = 1

the number of green marbles = 2

the number of blue marbles = 4

the number of yellow marbles = 8

To find:

Probability of not choosing a yellow marble.

Solution:

We will first find the total number of marbles present in the jar

Total number of marbles = 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 = 15

Number of marbles which are yellow = 8

The probability of choosing a yellow marble = 8/15 = 0.533

Therefore, the probability of not choosing a yellow marble = 1 - 0.533 = 0.466
