Let the one of the number is 'x'

then the other number will be

x + 36. And the sum of number

is 48.

So,

⇒ x + x + 36 = 48

⇒ 2x + 36 = 48

⇒ 2x = 48 - 36

⇒ 2x = 12

⇒ x = 12 ÷ 2

∴  x = 6

So,

One of the number is = x = 6

Other number is = x + 36 = 6 + 36 = 42

Therefore option 'e' (42, 06) is correct
