x + 10 = y -------------(1)

8x  = 3y

x = 3y/8 -----------(2)

putting 2 in 1

3y/8 + 10 = y

y - 3y/8 = 10

(8y-3y) / 8 = 10

5y / 8 = 10

5y = 80

y = 80/5

y = 16

putting the value of y in 2

x = 3y/8

= 3*16/8

= 3*2

= 6

Hence the 2 numbers are 16 and 6.
